eGangotri XI: Almira 28 Last Manuscript; Ganjoojis Vedic Manuscript at 1536 Pages; Almira 27 Manuscripts

Dear All:

Almira 28 is now finally over with its last remaining Book finally digitized unless the 3-4 items that were photo-catalogued but we could not trace are found again – and available below – :

6216 Sanskrit Persian Arabic Kashmiri Hindi English Tibetan Kosh Alm 28 Shlf 2 Part1

This is a very laudable endeavour to complile synonyms in Persian, Arabic, Sanskrit, Kashmiri,Hindi,Tibetan and English

Unfortunately for Tibetan ( referred as Bhot )  though named in the Tables, entries are not seen.

The only script used is Devanagari even for English.

I have now redevised my Scribd User Accounts.

Earlier I had planned to make all manuscripts available at

https://www.scribd.com/dharmarthatrust

But clearly this is not desirable and I have now introduced a new Scheme wherein every Almira will have a corresponding Scribd Id and all its contents will be uploaded exclusively there:

Through the new Scheme you can view:

Manuscripts at Almira 28-A

https://www.scribd.com/dharmarthaTrustAlm28A

This Site has manuscripts containing several Devanagari Manhabharatas and one Tibetan Manuscript which can only be photographed due to its Size and will soon be uploaded to my Facebook Page as an Album.

and Almira 27

Almira 27 first 3 Shelfs are books exclusively on Tantra and some Kashmir Shaiva Texts – all in Devanagari. Shelfs 4-6 are on Musicology. Also in Devanagari.

Shelf-1 of ALmira 27 is complete and all titles can be viewed below:

Vedic Texts in Sharada – Ram Shaiv Ashram_Part1

Ignore the Rajatarangini written in Sharada on the Cover.

Comments welcome regarding what it contains ? I have asked Michael Witzel already.

Soon I will post a Report of my Books and Manuscripts Survey in Srinagar with lots of Photographs including damages caused by the Floods.

Luckily Ishwar Ashram Trust, Srinagar Library was completely spared – owing to its elevated Position and my Staff is now assiduously working there – thanks to the Kindness of Dr. Anusheel Munshi, Raina Sahib and other Honourable Trust Members and within 2 Months I will have the entire Library digital which includes the Meditation Hall Library, Library of Mataji Prabha Devi and the Main library all in the Same Premises. This will be followed by digitizing the entire Print Collection of Ganjoo Sahib in Srinagar and also the Books at Swami Ram Shaiva shram, Fateh Kadal – I will check with the folks at Bhagwan Gopinath Ashram in future and any information of any Sanskrit Library in Srinagar or Mattan I welcome.

The few titles of IAT, Srinagar that we have uploaded can be seen below:

https://www.scribd.com/ishwarashramsrinagar

This library includes scores of Pre-1900 books and many of the Sanskrit publications of  great Bengali Maverick Jibananda Vidyasagar.

Infact Raghunath Temple has a Whole Almira of Jibananada Vidyasagar Published books in Decent Conditions which could represent the entire Publicstions of them   and at some point of time these will be digitized as well – but that would be after 2-3 years

Lastly some scholars had made some wishlists of Manuscripts they wanted done:

Some of these 20 odd ones are:

216Gha Dashraupavaloka Dhanajaya Dhanik – Alankar Shastra

451_Gh_Dashrupakavaloka – Dhananjaya and Dhanik – Alankar Shastra

406Gh_Vatsyayan Kama Sutra Vyakhya Kandarpa Chudamani of Vira Bhadra Deva – Alankar Shastra

4329_Vakya Bhedavada of Ananta Deva – Nyaya Vaisheshika.pdf

650_Pancha Sayaka Lakshya Vedhanakhya Vivarana Sahita_Part1
