Welcome to eGangotri Tools (egf-tools)! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the egf-tools application (the “Service”), provided by eGangotri (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies or guidelines referenced herein. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. Description of Service

egf-tools is designed to support archival workflows such as bulk uploads, queue monitoring, and file organization, including optional modules for PDF/TIFF conversion and Bulk AI Renaming. Some features may integrate with the Google Drive API, requiring your explicit authorization to access limited file metadata to enable renaming.

3. Your Google Account and Permissions

Authorization: To use Google Drive-related features (e.g., Bulk AI Renaming), you must connect your Google Account and grant egf-tools specific permissions. These permissions allow us to read file names and IDs and rename files as per your instructions.

Scope of Access: We request only the minimum necessary permissions to provide the functionality. We do not access or store the content of your Google Drive files. Our access is strictly limited to file metadata for renaming purposes.

Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google Account and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.

Google’s Policies: Your use of Google Drive and your Google Account is governed by Google’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You must comply with those policies.

4. User Responsibilities and Conduct

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• Do not use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Do not engage in conduct that harms or disrupts the Service or other users.
• Do not upload, transmit, or distribute unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise objectionable content.
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, other accounts, systems, or networks.
• You acknowledge that actions on your Google Drive (e.g., renaming files) are performed at your explicit direction and based on permissions you grant.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of eGangotri and its licensors. The Service is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. To stop using the Service, discontinue access and revoke permissions in your Google Account security settings (if applicable).

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, eGangotri and its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to use the Service; any conduct or content of any third party; any content obtained from the Service; and unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will endeavor to provide notice prior to the new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
